February 2011 PG&E was deregulated. You now have a choice for your gas provider. No longer are we forced to pay high energy prices from a company who controls the energy market. Did you know PG&E buys their energy from Sparks Energy in Texas? That PG&E is a broker, procuring energy from Sparks? What does this mean! Since deregulation, Sparks Energy established a sister company, Ampegy providing gas & electricity at a much lower price then PG&E. Some states offer both gas and electricity from Ampegy. Follow the link: www.pgesavings.com enter your zip code. Click "Enroll As New Customer". The next page you will see Natural & Gas have been selected. Continue to next page. Click on the $.67.5 flat rate. Next page, fill in all required fields. You will receive a letter from PG&E explaining the lower rate and that PG&E still reads your meter, services your account and provides you with their 800# if you have questions or an emergency. That's it!
